About Dara Kiernan

I'm Dara Kiernan. With 20 years of experience leading and developing high-performance teams in the IT, Finance, and Security industries, I am dedicated to helping other organisations achieve the successes I have enjoyed throughout my career.

As an international leadership and credit management speaker, I frequently serve as an MC for industry awards and corporate events.

Since 2018, I have been assisting local authorities in enhancing their collections performance and achieving significant cost savings by refining their processes and implementing cost-effective system improvements in their credit control contact centers.

In financial services, I have significantly boosted collections performance and productivity by implementing new systems. My work with contact centres across various sectors has enhanced customer service, and I played a pivotal role in leading the HSE’s Covid-19 response plan.

The teams I’ve led have consistently surpassed their targets and have been recognized as industry leaders. Since 2011, my teams have received eight industry Team of the Year awards, and I have been honored with five industry Manager/Consultant of the Year awards.

I hold a Master’s Degree in Financial Services from UCD, a Diploma in Credit Management & Collections from Griffith College, a Diploma in Employment Law from The Law Society of Ireland, and numerous certificates including Data Protection and Consumer Credit. Additionally, I am a certified MS Excel Professional, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, and a qualified trainer.

In addition to my professional career, I have been a part of the Irish comedy scene for over 20 years and am the founding owner and MC of the Gorey Comedy Club for the past 14 years. During lockdown, I created the Car Boot Quiz, an interactive comedy quiz broadcasted monthly for free and offered as a service to some of our clients.

I am also an enthusiastic but challenged golfer and enjoy watching various sports, particularly American Football. Given the recent performances of the New York Giants, I would gladly offer my services to them—definitely in a backroom role and not on the field!
